“To present the revelation of Christ Jesus, the loveliness of His person, the perfection of His work, with excellence and clarity for the rising of the glorious church.”
The highest stewardship that exists in the government of God is to be entrusted with the message of Jesus Christ. In the first century, the Lord Jesus Christ entrusted the Apostle Paul with His most advanced teachings. The Gospel given to the Apostle Paul is the constitution of the Church Age.
In May 2005, after ministering in an itinerant manner in countless meetings and various churches of diverse denominations and backgrounds in Cameroon, the Holy Spirit visited Dr. Shawn Smith, giving him eyes to see, unfolding the Gospel to him in dimensions previously unknown and he began to see the Father’s ultimate intent for mankind: Christ.
Dr. Shawn Smith was commissioned with the apostolic mandate: “To present the revelation of Christ Jesus, the loveliness of His person, the perfection of His work, with excellence and clarity for the rising of the glorious Church.” What Dr Shawn Smith teaches and preaches is directly traced to the first century, to the apostolic and patristic church era and stands in continuity to what Jesus Christ established through the Apostle Paul.
As Dr. Shawn Smith explains, ministry is participating in the present-day ministry of Jesus Christ and his ministry simply consists of the explanation of the mystery of Christ revealed. He proclaims the union of God and man efficaciously secured in the person and life of Jesus Christ, in His incarnation and His all-encompassing finished work on the cross. That Christ, truly and fully God, and truly and fully man has enabled all to participate in the shared life of the Godhead. He is the self-revelation of God to man and accepts all men in Himself as their substitute. He is the representation of man to God and presents man to God in Himself. Through His life, crucifixion, death, burial, quickening, raising, and seating, He has become the Head of the new Creation; the cosmos is reborn in Him. Jesus Christ has completely reversed and counteracted the full consequences of Adam’s fall, and as a result, God in the vicarious humanity of Christ has reconciled all humanity to Himself.
