Charis Shalom, I honor the Glorious Christ in you. I want to give a brief praise report about Baptism and Chrismation. I say thank you so much to their Excellences for this great privilege and opportunity to be baptized and Chrismated into this Household of Faith. I also say thank you to the clergy who accompanied us through the entire process. I am short of words to explain the warmth I felt throughout the catechism. They made sure we understood what we were doing and why we were doing it. I was so happy to be a part of this and I’m grateful for the book “Living the Christ Life” which made me realize how little I knew about what Love is or should I say Who Love is and what it means to be loved of God. I came to understand what it means to be saved, to be the church and how we ought to behave now that we have received this Gospel. Not because we are coerced but because of His love which is the basis of everything that constrains us. I didn’t realize I was holding unto certain things which may have hindered me from properly understanding the Gospel. On the day of the baptism as I moved towards the pool some thoughts tried to cloud my mind, then I sensed fear and that feeling of unworthiness but when His Excellency spoke and I was about to be immersed into the pool, I heard a voice in me “like the WOG usually says: let go, let go, let go” and after being immersed I was overwhelmed with joy in my heart, as if I was released from a weight. I’m so grateful to God. Looking at the destructive path I had taken, I would never have imagined that my life would have turned out to be like this. I still ask myself what great Love this is. It’s definitely time to reciprocate it. Thank you so much
