I wish to express my gratitude to the Father for transforming my prayer and vocational life as a
believer in Christ Jesus through this Ministry.
Some years back, the Man of God ministered on spiritual progress. I wasn’t in the ministry then
but I listened to it later. He asked a question, ” Are you making progress in the Lord; have you
done self-examination to know if you are making progress in the Lord?” And he said, “it is not
about wealth but the Word of God you receive yearly.”
When I heard these words, I paused and started evaluating how I pray, how I perceive the
world and people around me, how I study the Word of God, and most importantly, how I value
the vessels who minister the word. I realized my prayer life was demanding and my preaching
was focused on repentance. Then I told myself, it is time to sit and learn.
During another service, the Man of God ministered on Peace the vital Necessity of Life. He
said, “The Peace of God preserves what the Grace of God has provided.” This message made
me realize the importance of peace in our spiritual walk.
On a certain Sunday, the Man of God said, “thanksgiving is the highest form of prayer in the
new testament because Christ has fulfilled everything.” I did a self examination again and
realized my prayer life had changed from casting and binding, die by fire, Oh God of Elijah to
thanksgiving and lifting up holy hands. What amazes me is the fact that whenever I pray as I
have been taught in GCM, I sense the prayer answered; joy and peace flows out of me. In time
past, after praying, it would seem like I was fighting. I thank the Father for delivering me from
the misunderstanding of prayer.
In my previous preaching, I observed I had no words, I was zealous without knowledge. All I
preached was “repent”. I would wake up at 5am, go to the street and on buses telling people to
repent. When people did not pay attention, I got angry because I had not yet tested this gospel.
During one service, the Man of God taught on Before and after the Cross. He said, “what Christ
saved us for is greater than what He saved us from.” Coupled with his teachings on the love of
God, my way of viewing the scriptures and perceiving others changed. After the 20th
anniversary of the Man of God, I decided to embark on vocation with a different consciousness.
I started preaching on,”When Love loves you”. Now the outcome is different. When I present
the finished works of Jesus Christ and the love of God, there is stillness in the atmosphere. I can
see the attentiveness of the audience in the bus. I realized I am truly making progress indeed.
Thank you Man of God for orienting my understanding in spiritual things.
